Anyway, this idea of a having a private, beautiful garden has stuck with me over the years and now that we are buying our own home with a pretty big backyard, we have decided that we should start planting stuff. So, we went to Lowe's and bought a little greenhouse and some seed packets so that we can start a vegetable garden.
And, after just one week, we have broccoli!!
Now, what I imagine is, is that it will eventually look like is this:
........That's me in the flowing white dress.........
Well, ok, this is actually me:
We move into the house in May and that is when we will transfer our tiny plants to the backyard. It's totally waiting for a secret garden, don't you think?
There probably won't be room for gigantic, ivy-covered, marble archways and I probably won't be running around the yard in that dress. Although, I may wear this one:
And, I really wish that I could replace that bush with a little tree surrounded by lush rows of lavender--like this:
But, truthfully, I will be perfectly happy with a small vegetable garden, maybe a Japanese Maple tree, and some lavender plants--possibly a hydrangea or two. Oh, and maybe a little pond with some koi fish and hopefully a unicorn. A girl can dream, can't she?
